The Eminence Australia Pty Ltd (EA) considers “Ethical Practices in Business Dealings” to be critical for the development and growth of the industry in any country we operate. The EA Task Force on Integrity and Transparency in Governance has comprehensive guidelines for a “Model Code of Conduct for Business Ethics”, and EA is hopeful that all members including the international business partners would feel comfortable about adopting these guidelines. The attached Code of conduct contains the basic principles of doing business ethically, which involves adoption of policies and procedures intended to achieve ethical business practices. EA sees the adoption of this simplified code as a landmark step in inculcating a culture of ethics and good practices in corporates. We have plans to launch a programme/workshop that will enable companies to build competence in compliance and also propose to have a code on Good Corporate Citizenship for leading organizations that seek to go beyond compliance, to systemically contributing to national development goals. EA recognizes that all our clients and associates are, at different points in this journey and each company will proceed down this journey at its own pace.
